Preparedness of Metro-Dagupan Colleges Personnel and High School Students in Dealing with Earthquake Disaster: An Assessment

The researcher focused the study on the awareness of personnel and High School Students of Metro-Dagupan Colleges during earthquake that would strike anytime. College students were excluded by the researcher as based on the subjects curricular activities of Metro Dagupan Colleges such as NSTP101 (National Service Training Program) and NSTP102 where the students are thought and trained in disaster preparedness as well as in different survival situation, After this course, college students will be absorbed by the NSRC (National Service Reserved Corps.) 1, 2, and 3. On this subjects the students will be enhance for more disaster preparedness in various categories i.e. Rescue, First Aid, Evacuation, Crowd control, Fire Fighting, which will be more useful in their daily lives and could be applied when they encounter such as disaster.

Problems Encountered by Policewomen in Active Service in Selected Localities of Pangasinan

This study covered all the 6 policewomen of the different police stations in selected localities of Pangasinan namely, Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto, Manaoag, Laoac and Dagupan City Town of Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto, Manaoag, Laoac and the City of Dagupan in Pangasinan were chosen as the place of the study because the researchers live with the vicinity of these places and it is more practical and convenient on their part to conduct the research here. Other police station outside this district were not included due to their distance and to financial and time constraint.

The study does not cover the school accounts, complete personal data of the students and their grade's computation in each subject.

The intent of this paper is to present an argument for the position that the decadence of anlong (poetry) in Pangasinan was due to the fact that the vernacular writers were more attuned to prose writing since Pangasinan was elevated into the rank of liturgical and literary language in the nineteenth century by the Dominican missionaries. The vernacular was first consciously used for political, social and cultural values after the Spanish Era in the writings of the zarzuelistas (1900s- 1930s) up to the time of the novelists (1930s-1960s).

The researchers chose the fourth district because the number of respondents not enough to determine the problems of the policewomen if only one municipality will be included in the study.
Policewomen with below 3 years in service were not included as respondent because their experiences and observations will not be sufficient to answer the questions about this study.
